All New Pokopia Bubbly Basin Pokemon And How To Unlock Them

Pokémon Pokopia Version 2.0.0 has launched with a major underwater expansion split between free and paid content. The free update introduces the Dive ability, enabling all players to explore and build underwater areas. After meeting quest requirements—including learning Surf from Lapras and completing environmental tasks in Bleak Beach—players can learn Dive from Manaphy, with no purchase necessary.

Bubbly Basin, the paid DLC expansion ($35), is the first of three planned content releases and introduces a new underwater town where Ditto helps build a Pokémon community. The expansion features 50 new water-type Pokémon to befriend and 36 new habitats to construct, with mechanics tailored for underwater environments. Proper habitat creation requires specific items like Heat Rocks to maintain appropriate warmth. The underwater town draws inspiration from Cerulean City from the Kanto region.

The update also introduces the Portal Pod, a highly requested shared storage system functioning like Minecraft’s Ender Chest or Palworld’s Guild chest. Holding up to 140 item stacks, the Portal Pod allows players to access stored items from anywhere in the world where a Portal Pod exists. While Portal Pods can be collected in Bubbly Basin for DLC owners, the recipe can be unlocked in Palette Town without purchasing the expansion, requiring approximately Environment Level 10 to obtain.

The 2.0.0 update represents a substantial content drop combining new areas, mechanics, and quality-of-life improvements for both new and experienced players.
