Marble Souls dares to ask what would happen if the bloke from Dark Souls got stuck in a physics-driven ball, and it’s out this year
Stuffed Wombat has announced Marble Souls, a physics-driven action game that reimagines Dark Souls through a creative premise: players control a Dark Souls-inspired character trapped inside a physics ball. Rather than using rolling as an incidental movement or evasion option, the game makes rolling the central gameplay mechanic. Players navigate a Dark Souls-themed world while collecting lost souls, with physics-based rolling serving as the primary method of interaction.
The game plays on the Dark Souls series’ infamous reliance on rolling as a core defensive and movement tool. By literally trapping the player character in a ball, Marble Souls transforms rolling from a tactical option into the fundamental way players experience the game world. The visual style maintains the dark fantasy aesthetic familiar to Dark Souls fans while introducing novel physics-based puzzle and traversal elements that create a fresh take on the familiar formula.
Marble Souls is scheduled for release on Steam in 2026. The game is available to wishlist now through Steam.
