Ubisoft announces Ghost Recon Insider Program
Ubisoft celebrated the Ghost Recon franchise’s 25th anniversary with a major announcement: a new Ghost Recon game is officially in development. The company revealed the news during an anniversary stream, with live producer Irina-Gabriela Popa confirming that the team has been “building the next chapter of Ghost Recon” and is “ready to put it to the test.”
To facilitate this testing phase, Ubisoft launched the Ghost Recon Insider Program, which allows players to sign up for early access to closed tests of the upcoming game. Players can register for the program through Ubisoft’s website and select their preferred platform: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, or PC (via Ubisoft Connect).
The new Ghost Recon game aims to deliver what Ubisoft describes as a “fun, fresh experience” while staying true to the franchise’s core pillars: tactical action, large-scale operations, credible military storytelling, and the iconic Ghost Unit. Beyond the new game announcement, Ubisoft also revealed a next-gen upgrade for Ghost Recon Wildlands and announced free play days for both Wildlands and Breakpoint through Sunday, giving players an opportunity to try these existing titles before making a purchase.
The Insider Program represents Ubisoft’s effort to engage the community in the development process and gather feedback from players to shape the final product.
