We’re Getting Another In-Depth Look at Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Later This Month
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation will receive an in-depth presentation at Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 25, 2026. The showcase, organized by the team behind Summer Game Fest and The Game Awards, is hosted annually by Geoff Keighley and precedes the main Gamescom European gaming industry expo.
The presentation marks Final Fantasy 7 Revelation as one of the highlights for this year’s Opening Night Live event, which features a mix of new game reveals and updates on previously announced titles. Square Enix confirmed the appearance through a social media post, with game director involvement in the presentation.
Gamescom Opening Night Live has become a significant venue for major game announcements, with previous years featuring prominent titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. The August 25 date means Final Fantasy 7 Revelation’s presentation will come ahead of other major game announcements scheduled for later in the month.
