How to Get a Gem Duck Sprite in Fortnite—Mogul Vault Location, Explained
Fortnite continues its seasonal content updates with the introduction of the Gem Duck Sprite, a new cosmetic variant added to the game on August 6, 2026. This addition expands Epic Games’ growing collection of Sprite cosmetics, which players can collect to unlock various rewards throughout the season.
The Gem Duck Sprite is location-based content, requiring players to venture to a specific in-game location to obtain it. According to a teaser from Epic Games, the sprite can be “obtained in the vault of a certain business mogul,” which provides players with a contextual hint about where to search for this collectible. This location-based approach adds an element of exploration to the cosmetics collection system, potentially generating competition among players seeking the same reward.
The sprite release comes as Fortnite approaches the end of its current season, though Epic continues to introduce new content to keep players engaged through the season’s conclusion. The Sprites collection system has become an increasingly prominent feature in Fortnite, with Epic Games regularly adding new variants to encourage exploration and ongoing player engagement with the game’s world.
The Gem Duck Sprite joins a diverse array of other Sprite variants that players can collect, contributing to Epic’s ongoing engagement strategy for the free-to-play battle royale title.
