The late Sam Neill will reportedly feature in The Legend of Zelda film, making it very probably the actor’s final on-screen role

Sam Neill is reported to star in the upcoming live-action Legend of Zelda film, which would likely be his final on-screen performance. The acclaimed actor, best known for playing Dr. Alan Grant in the Jurassic Park franchise, passed away on July 13 at the age of 78. According to Deadline, Neill’s involvement in the film has been reported; however, Sony Pictures, which is producing the adaptation, and Neill’s former representatives have not confirmed the casting.

The announcement comes alongside other casting reveals for the live-action adaptation. Young Rock actor Uli Latukefu has been announced to play Ganondorf, the film’s primary antagonist. Neill’s extensive career spanned decades and included numerous acclaimed roles such as Event Horizon and many other notable productions beyond his iconic Jurassic Park work. If confirmed, this role would represent a fitting conclusion to a decades-long acting career.
