PS5’s Fastest Growing Open World Adds Beach Volleyball, Jet Skis, and Construction Work

NTE (Neverness to Everness), a PS5 open-world game by Chinese developer Hotta Studio, is receiving a substantial content update on August 19th that continues the studio’s impressive post-launch support. Following a previous update that added an entire fantasy RPG mode, the new update introduces a diverse range of activities and gameplay options.

The upcoming patch adds beach volleyball as a new minigame, jet ski racing for competitive play, and construction work as an additional activity. Most notably, a new island dedicated to Initial D-style drift racing will join the open world, giving players a dedicated space for high-speed drifting challenges.

Hotta Studio’s commitment to NTE demonstrates a live-service approach focused on maintaining player engagement through varied content. The breadth of activities being added—from casual beach sports to competitive racing—reflects an effort to appeal to different playstyles within the game’s open-world framework. This update exemplifies the studio’s ongoing dedication to expanding the game’s scope and providing fresh experiences for its player base.
