Final Fantasy Resonance Is Inheriting Two Of Brave Exvius’ Coolest Features, Minus The Gacha
Final Fantasy Resonance, a new HD-2D spin-off of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, is bringing the mobile game to PC and Nintendo Switch 2 as a traditional console experience. The game inherits two of Brave Exvius’ most celebrated mechanics: guest “Visions” featuring characters from across the Final Fantasy franchise, and spectacular CG-animated ultimate abilities that showcase each character’s signature moves.
Recent trailers have highlighted these features prominently, with series legend Cloud Strife demonstrating his iconic attacks rendered in the beautiful HD-2D visual style. The Warrior of Light has also been confirmed as an available Vision character, continuing the guest character tradition from the mobile original.
A significant departure from its predecessor, Resonance notably abandons the gacha mechanics that defined Brave Exvius, instead adopting a traditional console monetization model. This strategic shift reflects Square Enix’s effort to bring the franchise to mainstream gaming platforms while retaining the gameplay systems that made the original mobile title engaging for players.
