Job Simulator Is Finally Giving Your VR Headset The Day Off
Job Simulator, the popular VR workplace comedy game, is expanding beyond virtual reality with a new spinoff titled Job Simulator: Human Relations. Developed by FarBridge, the studio behind Homeworld: Vast Reaches, this co-op experience will bring the franchise to flat-screen platforms for the first time.
The new game supports up to four players working together to complete tasks during a simulated eight-hour workday. Players control robots navigating human workplace scenarios, competing for resources and facing obstacles like natural disasters while attempting to satisfy their robot overlords. The humorous co-op gameplay emphasizes collaborative problem-solving and shared chaos in a corporate environment.
To fund development, FarBridge has launched a Kickstarter campaign seeking $150,000. The crowdfunding approach reflects the studio’s effort to expand the Job Simulator universe beyond its original VR audience, potentially reaching a broader player base on traditional gaming platforms.
