Review: Razer Naga V3 Pro: the best MMO mouse I’ve ever used, and ideal for macro fiends too

Razer has unveiled the Naga V3 Pro, the long-awaited successor to its Naga V2 Pro gaming mouse from 2022. Designed for MMO, MOBA, and macro-heavy gaming, this mouse caters to players who need extensive button accessibility for complex control schemes.

The standout feature is its extensive customization: the Naga V3 Pro offers up to 23 programmable buttons in its standard configuration. This includes twelve side buttons, two near the left click, one lockable ring finger button, two below the scroll wheel, and three integrated into the scroll wheel itself, plus one on the underside and the standard left and right clicks. For players who find this overwhelming, Razer includes swappable side plates that reduce the button count to just six or two, making the mouse more conventionally usable for non-macro gaming.

The V3 Pro improves upon its predecessor with a lighter design and upgraded switches, delivering better performance for extended gaming sessions. The mouse also features a high DPI rating, supporting the needs of players who demand precision and responsiveness.

The Naga V3 Pro represents an evolution in modular mouse design, acknowledging that MMO and MOBA players require vastly different input options than casual gamers. By incorporating swappable side plates, Razer offers a flexible solution that transforms the mouse from a button-heavy specialized peripheral into a more standard gaming mouse depending on the user’s needs.

Reviewers have praised the mouse as an excellent option for serious players and macro enthusiasts, making it stand out in the niche but dedicated market for gaming peripherals.
