Kiki’s Delivery Service Meets Akira in ‘Crescent County’, Launching Summer ‘27
Kinetic Publishing and Electric Saint have announced Crescent County, a cosy adventure game combining peaceful daytime delivery mechanics with thrilling nighttime racing action. The game is scheduled to launch in Summer 2027 across PC and console platforms.
The game draws inspiration from two iconic works: Kiki’s Delivery Service and Akira. This influence manifests in the core gameplay loop, where players make deliveries during the day using sci-fi-themed motorbrooms, then engage in races at night with the same vehicles. The juxtaposition of relaxing delivery sequences with high-octane racing creates a unique gameplay experience.
Visually, Crescent County features colorful and vibrant aesthetics that distinguish it from many contemporary titles. The game’s art style complements its tone, creating an inviting atmosphere for players seeking both cosy and action-oriented gaming experiences.
Creative director Anna Hollinrake provided insights into the game’s development and creative vision during a showcase interview, discussing how the project was conceived and evolved through production. While specific console platforms have not yet been detailed, the PC version has been confirmed for release alongside unspecified console versions.
Crescent County represents a blend of relaxation and excitement, positioning itself in the growing intersection of cosy gaming and action gameplay—an increasingly popular space that appeals to diverse player preferences.
