Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition is coming to PS5 later this year, with new story additions, a new roguelike survival mode, and more

Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition is launching on PlayStation 5 on October 1, 2026, marking the one-year anniversary of Sucker Punch Productions’ acclaimed open-world action game. The Complete Edition serves as a definitive version, similar to Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, bundling substantial new content with all previously released material.

The centerpiece of the edition is Echoes of Sekigahara, a new narrative expansion that interweaves present-day storytelling with flashback sequences. Players will encounter Nagato, a mysterious figure from protagonist Atsu’s past, and explore previously unseen locations including a valley that once served as a base for The Snake and his Viper followers. The expansion culminates in flashback sequences depicting the Battle of Sekigahara, a pivotal historical moment in Atsu’s backstory. The DLC introduces new enemies, weapons, armor sets, and cosmetic dyes.

Complementing the narrative expansion is Most Wanted, a new single-player roguelike survival mode developed as Sucker Punch’s “spin on a roguelike.” Players will accept bounties within this combat-focused experience.

Beyond these major additions, the Complete Edition includes the Legends online co-op mode, everything from the original Digital Deluxe Edition, new music tracks for Watanabe Mode, additional Photo Mode stamps and cosmetics for New Game Plus, new trophy opportunities, and quality-of-life improvements. The Complete Edition is available for purchase now, with both the expansion and survival mode launching October 1, 2026. When purchased separately, Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted will cost $14.99.
