Take-Two CEO Won’t Be In GTA 6 After His Surprise Appearance In WWE 2K26

Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, made a surprise appearance as a playable character in WWE 2K26 during the game’s third season content update in June. The addition featured a full entrance animation and an exclusive theme song—Frank Sinatra’s “My Way”—which was unavailable for custom characters.

In recent comments, Zelnick revealed that his inclusion was entirely his own initiative. He requested to be added to the game and participated in motion capture sessions to create the character. “I asked, and then I went on the soundstage, and I did motion capture and we all had fun with it,” he explained, emphasizing that the decision stemmed from his desire to do something he found amusing rather than external demand. Zelnick, who is 69 years old and has earned the nickname “America’s Fittest CEO,” stated that he loves WWE and “thought it would be funny for insiders and maybe fun for some consumers.” His in-game character has a rating of 77 and weighs 165 pounds. The DLC inclusion reportedly performed well commercially.

However, fans of Grand Theft Auto should not expect to see Zelnick in the highly anticipated GTA 6, which releases in November. The CEO explicitly confirmed that he will not be making an appearance in Rockstar Games’ flagship franchise, keeping his cameo exclusive to WWE 2K26.
