Kingdom Come Salvation Targets 2028: The Engine Upgrades We Need to See
Embracer Group has revealed its release schedule through its Q1 interim report for FY2026/2027, announcing that the next Kingdom Come game from Warhorse Studios and Darksiders 4 are both planned to launch within the publisher’s fiscal year 2027/2028, running from April 1, 2027 through March 31, 2028.
This represents a notably accelerated development cycle for the Kingdom Come franchise. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which released in 2025 to critical acclaim and praised for its technical polish, will be followed by its successor in just over two years—a dramatic shift from the seven-year gap between the first and second installments.
The next Kingdom Come game’s official title remains unconfirmed, though a recent trademark registration suggests it may be called “Kingdom Come: Salvation.” Both the new Kingdom Come title and Darksiders 4 are scheduled to release by March 2028, though exact launch dates remain unspecified. The announcement was made by Embracer Group CEO Phil Rogers in official financial documentation, providing players with a clearer development roadmap for these anticipated titles.
