Bethesda finally “looking into” patching Oblivion Remastered on PC, PS5 and Xbox amid praise for Switch 2 release

Bethesda has announced it is “looking into” releasing an additional patch for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, responding to long-standing player complaints about technical issues. The news comes following the well-received launch of Oblivion Remastered on Switch 2 earlier this week, where the game was praised for its optimized performance on Nintendo’s new hardware.

However, the strong technical performance on Switch 2 has highlighted the persistent problems affecting other versions of the game. PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S players have continued to experience frame pacing issues, stuttering, and various unresolved bugs since the game’s initial release in April 2025. Despite the high-profile nature of the remaster, Oblivion failed to receive the robust post-launch support that players expected, leaving these platforms without meaningful updates or fixes.
