OLED monitors more popular than ever says analyst firm, which makes sense as one of the few good deals left in PC gaming
OLED monitor shipments surged dramatically in Q2 2026, with year-over-year growth reaching 98% compared to the same quarter in 2025, according to analyst firm TrendForce. Quarter-over-quarter growth during Q2 2026 was more modest at 26.1%, but the overall trajectory indicates strong market momentum for the display technology.
The growth is primarily being driven by new OLED monitor model launches, particularly in the 27-inch QHD segment, which has become the industry’s most popular size. Gaming adoption has been a key driver of this market expansion, as the advantages of OLED technology—including superior contrast, faster response times, and vibrant colors—appeal strongly to PC gamers.
Price reductions have played a significant role in the surge. After years of OLED monitors commanding premium prices, recent price drops have made the technology more accessible to mainstream consumers, positioning OLED monitors as one of the better value propositions remaining in PC gaming hardware. The convergence of new product launches, improved pricing, and gaming-focused demand has created ideal conditions for market growth.
