Sandustry, the factory game where every single pixel is a resource you can build with, is out in early access
Sandustry, a new survival and factory automation game from developer Lantto Games, has launched in early access. The game presents a unique resource management mechanic where every individual pixel is a resource that can be mined, mixed, processed, or destroyed to construct factories and infrastructure.
The core gameplay loop involves building and managing automated factory systems while extracting resources at the pixel level, creating a granular approach to traditional factory-building mechanics. Players gather, process, and combine these pixel-based resources to expand their operations. Beyond factory automation, the game features exploration and discovery elements, with players uncovering secrets left behind by an ancient civilization.
The release comes amid a notable surge in sand-themed gaming experiences, following the recent demo release of Sandcastle, a separate sandbox construction game. Despite similar naming conventions, Sandustry distinguishes itself through its focus on factory automation and a novel pixel-as-resource system, rather than direct sand manipulation.
Currently available in early access, Sandustry offers players the opportunity to experience the game during its ongoing development phase. The pixel-focused resource system promises a detailed and granular approach to factory building that differentiates it from traditional entries in the factory automation genre.
