Total War: Warhammer 3 Just Confirmed the Release Date for Its Biggest Piece of DLC in the Series 10-Year History
Creative Assembly has announced Lords of the End Times, the largest DLC expansion in Total War: Warhammer 3’s 10-year franchise history, launching on September 24. The expansion introduces four new Legendary Lords and numerous new units, each providing distinct strategic gameplay experiences rooted in Games Workshop’s Warhammer lore. The End Times setting emphasizes antagonistic forces, particularly Skaven—rat-like creatures whose schemes have historically caused widespread devastation—alongside skeletal undead and demonic armies.
A series first, purchasing the Lords of the End Times DLC grants players standalone access to the Immortal Empires campaign, eliminating the need to own other Total War: Warhammer games to access it. This represents a significant change to how the franchise has traditionally structured its large-scale campaign content and accessibility.
The expansion releases alongside a major free update featuring Vampire Queen Neferata, available to all players. Creative Assembly accompanied the announcement with a new cinematic trailer showcasing the apocalyptic scope of the End Times narrative and the various factions benefiting from the world’s impending doom.
