Halo: Campaign Evolved studio outlines five key updates that’ll drop with next week’s big patch
Halo Studios will release a major patch for Halo: Campaign Evolved next week addressing several key player concerns. The update, arriving between August 17-21, includes five main improvements focused on both visual customization and gameplay refinements.
On the graphics front, players will gain the ability to disable chromatic aberration and film grain—two visual effects that many players found intrusive in the otherwise visually polished remake. These options provide players greater control over the game’s visual presentation.
Gameplay improvements include fixes to how the magnified skull functions and substantial tweaks to Sgt. Johnson’s AI behavior, specifically addressing issues that were blocking mission progression for some players. The patch also improves how Jackals respond to player attacks, making them more reliably staggered when targeted at the hands and feet.
Beyond these five headline features, Halo Studios has committed to additional stability improvements across multiple platforms, suggesting the patch will improve overall performance and technical reliability for all players regardless of their platform.
