Resident Evil Requiem’s Angela Sant’Albano reportedly joins Tides of Annihilation, replacing Jennifer English as the new voice of its protagonist

Angela Sant’Albano, best known for her role as Grace Ashcroft in Resident Evil Requiem, has reportedly been cast as the new lead voice actor for the upcoming action RPG Tides of Annihilation, replacing Jennifer English.

English, who stars in Baldur’s Gate 3 and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, announced her departure from the project in July, citing personal health reasons. The casting change was revealed through a demo showcased at an event in Shanghai, where attendees noticed the protagonist featured both a redesigned appearance and new voice performance. Fan speculation quickly identified Sant’Albano as the voice of Gwendolyn, the game’s protagonist.

Tides of Annihilation is an Arthurian legend-inspired action RPG in development at Eclipse Glow Games. While the studio has not officially confirmed Sant’Albano’s casting, evidence from the Shanghai demonstration has led fans and media to report the change with confidence. The casting marks a significant move for Sant’Albano following Resident Evil Requiem’s critical acclaim and emergence as a strong contender for 2026’s Game of the Year award.
