An Exclusive Castlevania Game Is Shutting Down
Konami has announced that Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls, an exclusive title available through Apple’s gaming subscription service, will shut down. The game will be removed from Apple Arcade on August 20, 2026, and will completely cease to be playable for all users on September 3, 2026. Despite announcing the shutdown, Konami acknowledged that the game has “continued to be supported by many players” throughout its lifespan, making the discontinuation somewhat unexpected. However, the developer did not provide specific reasons for the decision to discontinue service. In an official statement posted across social media and the game’s official website, Konami expressed its gratitude to all players for their enthusiastic support and engagement over the years. The shutdown marks a complete end to both the game’s availability on Apple Arcade and its permanent removal from players’ devices, as the title will no longer be accessible or receive any further updates, support, or maintenance after the September 3 deadline.
