How to Watch COD Next 2026 Showcase—Date, Start Time & What to Expect
Activision has scheduled the COD Next 2026 Showcase for August 21, its annual presentation event dedicated to revealing the year’s major Call of Duty announcements and new content. The showcase will prominently feature Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, a new entry in the Modern Warfare subseries that brings back the character Captain Price as a key part of the experience. The event will also highlight significant updates and developments planned for Call of Duty: Warzone, Activision’s popular free-to-play battle royale title.
COD Next represents Activision’s traditional August timing for unveiling its Call of Duty franchise plans and roadmap for the remainder of the year. Modern Warfare 4 is specifically positioned as a reboot of sorts, distinct from the 2007 original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The showcase serves as the primary venue for Activision to demonstrate what players can expect from both the new Modern Warfare 4 experience and the continued evolution of Warzone’s gameplay and features.
