Marvel Studios’ Ghost Rider Sets July 2028 Release Date
Marvel Studios has officially confirmed that its upcoming Ghost Rider film will release on July 28, 2028. Starring Ryan Gosling in the titular role, the film’s exact release date was announced following its initial reveal at San Diego Comic-Con, where Marvel Studios had previously only indicated a 2028 window for the project.
The July 28 release slot places Ghost Rider strategically within Marvel’s post-Avengers: Secret Wars slate. It will arrive approximately two months after the MCU’s first X-Men film, scheduled for May 5, 2028. This makes Ghost Rider the second major MCU release following Avengers: Secret Wars, which concludes a major story arc on December 15, 2027.
The release date occupies the last Friday in July, a time slot that has historically performed well for Marvel’s largest productions in recent years. Marvel also confirmed Black Panther 3 will arrive on December 15, 2028. Both films are positioned to follow the seismic events of the Doomsday and Secret Wars saga, which Marvel Studios has indicated will significantly reshape the MCU’s future direction.
