Someone Finally Made Another Game For People Who Miss Peggle
Hyperdrop, a new pachinko roguelite from debut developer Dark Dark Goose and published by Devolver Digital, aims to fill the gap left by Peggle in the gaming landscape. Nearly two decades after Peggle’s release, no game has successfully matched its unique blend of skill and luck-based gameplay combined with sensory satisfaction.
The gameplay of Hyperdrop centers on transforming an empty pegboard into a high-scoring machine through strategic upgrades and progression. Players can enhance individual pegs to trigger physics-defying mechanics including gravity wells, explosions, and multiball buffs when struck. Balls can also be upgraded to grow larger and accumulate volatile energy effects, adding layers of strategic depth and encouraging experimentation. These mechanics combine to create the roguelite structure typical of the genre.
Hyperdrop is coming soon to PC, marking the debut release from developer Dark Dark Goose under Devolver Digital’s publishing label.
