Marvel Cosmic Invasion is capitalizing on the current Doctor Doom craze sweeping Marvel media. Developer Tribute Games and publisher Dotemu announced “The Siege of Castle Doom,” a new paid DLC expansion for the retro beat-’em-up, arriving Fall 2026.
The DLC places Doctor Doom at the center of an entirely new game mode. While specific details remain scarce, the expansion will introduce two previously unrevealed playable characters alongside the new content. The announcement comes at an opportune moment, as Doctor Doom has become increasingly prominent across Marvel’s multimedia projects in 2025-2026.
Victor Von Doom’s resurgence in Marvel media has been substantial. Robert Downey Jr. is set to portray the character in December’s Avengers: Doomsday, and Doom recently led a team in the fighting game Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls released earlier this year.
