‘Skip and Loafer’ Season 2 Anime Finally Coming in 2027
The second season of the beloved rom-com anime Skip and Loafer has been officially confirmed for April 2027, marking the series’ return after more than three years. The announcement was made on August 16, 2026, via the official Skip and Loafer website, accompanied by a teaser trailer and commemorative illustration.
The original series premiered in 2023 and follows protagonist Mitsumi Iwakura as she leaves her rural hometown to attend high school in Tokyo, where she navigates urban life, personal growth, and romance. The teaser offers fans their first new footage of the central couple, Mitsumi and Shima, along with the supporting cast as they continue their high school journey. In the brief video, Mitsumi reflects on how nothing remains constant while expressing optimism about the future—a thematic echo of the series’ core exploration of change and growth.
The April 2027 release resolves the long wait that has defined fan anticipation since the first season’s conclusion, positioning the sequel as one of anime’s most highly anticipated releases.
