Alan Wake 2 Adds FSR 4 Support for Radeon 7000 and 9000 Graphics Cards

Alan Wake 2 now supports AMD’s latest graphics technologies following Patch 1.2.10, released on August 18th. The update introduces FSR 4.1 and FSR Frame Generation support, bringing performance enhancement features to players using AMD Radeon graphics cards.

The new technology is compatible with Radeon 9000 (RDNA 4) and Radeon 7000 (RDNA 3) GPU architecture, with AMD promising to extend support to older Radeon 6000 (RDNA 2) cards in 2027. The FSR 4.1 implementation is automatically enabled, eliminating the need for third-party tools or manual configuration for Radeon GPU owners.

Beyond the graphics enhancement features, Patch 1.2.10 addresses several gameplay issues including audio synchronisation problems during cinematics and a progression bug affecting New Game Plus mode. The patch also fixes a crash related to the quick slots feature.

This update reflects AMD’s broader push to integrate FSR 4.1 support across major gaming titles, following its launch with newer-generation graphics cards. The technology represents AMD’s answer to competing upscaling and frame generation solutions, offering GPU optimization for improved performance.
