Control Resonant Goes Gold, But Delays Physical Version By A Few Weeks
Remedy Entertainment’s highly anticipated sequel Control Resonant has officially achieved gold status ahead of its September 24th digital release on Xbox Series X|S. The milestone represents the completion of the game’s development and approval for manufacturing.
However, the announcement came with disappointing news for physical media enthusiasts. While digital versions will launch as planned on September 24th, physical copies of the game will experience a three-week delay, arriving on October 15th. This staggered release strategy allows the developer to manage manufacturing and distribution of physical media separately from the digital rollout.
Control Resonant is the sequel to Remedy’s paranormal action game, continuing the franchise’s established gameplay and narrative focus. The delay of physical versions is relatively minor in the gaming industry, where manufacturing physical media can sometimes require extended lead times compared to digital distribution.
The September 24th digital launch date remains unchanged, allowing players to begin their paranormal adventure as originally scheduled, regardless of whether they choose digital or physical versions.
