Haikyu!!’s upcoming special just got a new trailer ahead of the series’ 2027 finale
Haikyu!! is continuing its anime adaptation with two major projects in development, with new trailers unveiled as part of Haikyu!! Day celebrations. Studio Toho Animation has released footage for both the upcoming anime projects that will conclude the beloved volleyball series.
The first project, Where Monsters Go, is a special TV episode launching in 2027 that will feature a match between Fukurodani Academy and Mujinazaka High School. The newly released trailer showcases the intense rivalry between the teams’ star players, Kotaro Bokuto and Wakatsu Kiryu, trading spikes throughout the encounter.
The more significant of the two projects is the Haikyu!!: VS The Little Giant film, which will serve as the series finale. The film represents the culmination of the Haikyu!! anime adaptation.
Both projects mark the final chapters of the anime series, with the special episode and film working in tandem to wrap up the story ahead of the 2027 timeline. The announcement and trailer releases have generated excitement among fans who have been following the franchise’s anime adaptation.
