The Original Xbox Is Back, And This Time You Have To Build It Yourself
Mattel Brick Shop celebrates the Xbox’s 25th anniversary with a buildable replica of the original Xbox console. The massive 3,509-piece premium collectible set features a life-size recreation of the iconic console and oversized Duke controller, priced at $329.99 and expected to ship by October 16, 2026.
The assembled set includes interactive dioramas showcasing scenes from three classic Xbox games: Halo: Combat Evolved, Psychonauts, and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Controller buttons activate illuminated lighting effects and corresponding in-game soundtracks for each game scene. A secret button combination triggers an additional unique lighting sequence. The three game dioramas are swappable, allowing builders to display different classic Xbox moments. The set also includes 12 decorative NanoWorld figures.
Both the console and Duke controller feature working lights and sounds, making the set an elaborate display piece for collectors and retro gaming enthusiasts. The product is available for preorder at multiple retailers.
