Pokémon Center in the UK and Germany hit with the same data breach suffered by Valve’s Steam hardware

A data breach at logistics company CEVA Logistics has affected customers of multiple major gaming companies across Europe. The same incident that compromised personal and order data for Valve’s Steam hardware customers has now also impacted customers of Pokémon Center in the UK and Germany.

CEVA Logistics serves as the European shipping partner for both companies. The breach exposed customer personal information along with order details for those who placed orders through the affected European logistics channels.

In response to the incident, The Pokémon Company has cancelled orders for Pokémon’s 30th Anniversary Cards placed through the Pokémon Center website that were set to be fulfilled via CEVA in Europe. Customers who had pre-ordered these cards received notification emails about the cancellations and the data breach.

The scope of CEVA Logistics’ breach appears to extend beyond these two companies, suggesting the incident may affect other retailers and services relying on the logistics provider for European shipping. Both Valve and The Pokémon Company have notified their customers of the potential exposure and are working to address the consequences.
