5 Short Games Under 20 Hours
Polygon has compiled a list of five video games that can be completed in 20 hours or fewer, offering quality gaming experiences for players with limited playtime. The article acknowledges the industry trend toward lengthy titles, particularly with major releases like Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave and Grand Theft Auto 6 launching soon, and positions these shorter games as worthwhile alternatives that can fit into a long weekend.
Later Alligator is highlighted as the opening recommendation—a point-and-click detective game featuring comedic writing and attractive animation. Players take on the role of a detective hired by Pat, a young alligator who suspects a murder plot is being orchestrated against him. The game is available on Nintendo Switch and Windows PC. The curated selection aims to provide players with engaging, completable experiences that don’t require the lengthy time commitment of sprawling RPGs or action-adventure epics.
