‘The Sims 4’ Is Getting Two Classic Teen Movies-Inspired Kits
Paramount Pictures and Electronic Arts have announced a collaboration bringing cosmetic content inspired by the classic 1990s teen films Mean Girls and Clueless to The Sims 4. Two new kits, one for each film, will launch on August 27, 2026.
The Mean Girls and Clueless kits are priced at $3.99 each, making them more affordable than other kits available for The Sims 4. Rather than full expansion packs, these cosmetic-focused kits contain Create-a-Sim items and Build Mode decoration pieces. According to Electronic Arts, players will be able to customize their Sims with miniskirts, sweaters, and other fashion items inspired by the films. Each kit includes two Build Mode items for home decoration, though the total item count for each kit has not been announced.
This collaboration marks another expansion of The Sims 4’s cross-IP cosmetic content strategy. The partnership between Paramount Pictures and EA demonstrates the ongoing appeal of licensing popular films and television properties for video game customization content, tapping into player nostalgia for these beloved 1990s comedies.
