Xbox Special Edition Translucent Green Controller Price, Release Date Leaked
Microsoft’s Xbox Wireless Controller Special Edition X25, inspired by the original OG Xbox console, has had its pricing and release details leaked ahead of an official announcement at Gamescom 2026. This marks part of Xbox’s 25th anniversary celebrations.
According to reliable leak outlet Dealabs, the translucent green controller will launch on October 20, 2026, with a price of $79.99 in the United States (£74.99 in the UK, €79.99 in Europe). Preorders are set to begin on August 26, 2026, the same day as Xbox’s broadcast at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, where the company is expected to make official announcements about the controller.
The special edition controller is part of Xbox’s broader 25th anniversary initiative, which was originally announced in June 2026 to include both a limited-edition console variant and a matching controller. While details about the console variant remain unconfirmed and haven’t leaked, the controller specifications provide fans with their first concrete details about the anniversary hardware offerings.
