Mega Rayquaza Returns To Pokémon TCG For First Time In A Decade
The Pokémon Company has announced Delta Reign, the next expansion set for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, featuring Mega Rayquaza as its flagship card. This marks Mega Rayquaza’s first appearance in the TCG since the Ancient Origins expansion, ending a gap of over a decade.
The announcement arrives amid a broader resurgence of Mega Evolution cards in the trading card game, catalyzed by the recent release of Pokémon Legends: Z-A. This new era has brought numerous Mega Pokémon forms to the TCG, including both classic favorites and newly designed variations, with Delta Reign continuing this momentum.
Delta Reign is scheduled for global release on November 6. Players will have early access through pre-release events beginning October 24 at Play! Pokémon locations worldwide. These official pre-release events will allow collectors and players to experience the new set’s cards before the full launch.
The return of Mega Rayquaza is anticipated to attract significant interest from both veteran and new players, as the legendary Dragon-type Pokémon ranks among the franchise’s most popular Mega Evolution forms.
