New Pokémon TCG Pocket Set Focuses On Team Rocket
The Pokémon Company has announced the next expansion for Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, titled Team Rocket’s Ambition, releasing on August 26 at 6 p.m. PDT. The mobile card game’s latest set marks a significant milestone as the first to feature Owner’s Pokémon, specifically Team Rocket-owned creatures, bringing the iconic villainous organization to the digital card game for the first time.
The expansion highlights Team Rocket’s Pokémon and trainers with newly designed cards. Many cards prominently feature Team Rocket’s signature R mark, while special covers and backdrops showcase Giovanni and his Persian, the team’s leader and his iconic companion. Each card includes fresh artwork distinct from previous releases.
Team Rocket’s Ambition arrives as part of the game’s regular monthly update schedule. The expansion introduces new in-game events and Special Assignments that allow players to earn Shady Tickets, introducing new gameplay mechanics and progression opportunities tied to the Team Rocket theme.
This release continues Pokémon TCG Pocket’s strategy of delivering fresh, themed content regularly, expanding the digital card game’s roster and offering players new collecting and deck-building possibilities.
