Ms Marvel Star Returns to MCU With Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday Official Podcast
Iman Vellani, star of Marvel’s Ms Marvel, will host a new official podcast counting down to the theatrical release of Avengers: Doomsday. The podcast, titled “Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday Official Podcast,” is co-hosted by Vellani alongside podcaster Frank Alvarez.
The series launches on August 27 with its first episode and will span five total episodes. The podcast will be distributed across multiple platforms, including Disney+, Marvel’s official YouTube channel, and all major audio podcast platforms, making it accessible to both video and audio-only audiences.
Rather than focusing exclusively on Avengers: Doomsday itself, the podcast will take a retrospective approach, recapping and discussing pivotal moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s history. This format allows listeners to refresh their knowledge of key MCU events leading up to the Doomsday film’s release.
The final episode will notably focus on Avengers: Endgame, which will coincide with the theatrical launch of Avengers: Doomsday, creating a bookend effect for the MCU’s major storylines. While Vellani has not been officially announced for Avengers: Doomsday itself, her hosting role represents a significant return to MCU-related content following her prominent role in Ms Marvel.
