League Classic Patch 2 Will Bring Big Nerfs, Map Updates, and the First Council Vote

Riot Games will release Patch 26.17 for League of Legends Classic next week, bringing significant balance changes and gameplay updates to the nostalgic version of the popular MOBA. The patch includes a comprehensive set of champion buffs and nerfs for both the classic and modern versions of League of Legends, along with updates to the game’s map.

A notable feature of this second classic update is the introduction of the first Council vote, which appears to be a community voting mechanism integrated into the game’s update cycle. Game designer David ‘Phreak’ Turley confirmed that unlike the first League Classic patch, which added three new champions, Patch 2 will not include champion additions to the roster. However, Riot has already confirmed plans to continue releasing champions in future updates, with Patch 3 scheduled to include new champion additions.

This update marks the second major patch for League of Legends Classic since its launch, continuing Riot’s commitment to regularly maintaining and evolving the classic version of their flagship title alongside the modern game.
