Naughty Dog’s Intergalactic Adds An Actor From The Last Of Us And Uncharted
Veteran voice actor Robin Atkin Downes has joined the cast of Naughty Dog’s upcoming sci-fi adventure Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. The British actor announced the news via social media on August 20, posting “I’ve been keeping this one quiet for a while… The journey continues!” alongside a playful video of himself in motion capture gear.
Downes has an established working relationship with Naughty Dog spanning multiple franchises. He previously voiced Robert in The Last of Us and portrayed numerous characters across the Uncharted series, including Atoq Navarro, Tenzin, Talbot, Vincent Perez, and Hector Alcazar, among others.
Beyond his work with Naughty Dog, Downes is a prolific voice actor with hundreds of credits in video games and animation. His extensive resume includes voice work for Team Fortress 2 (as the Medic), No More Heroes (Travis Touchdown), Destiny 2: Forsaken (Spider), and Apex Legends (Ballistic).
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet was first unveiled by Naughty Dog nearly two years ago at the 2024 Game Awards. The sci-fi adventure has been in development for PlayStation 5, though the studio has remained largely silent about the project in the intervening months. Downes’ casting announcement represents one of the first signs of progress on the highly anticipated title.
While Downes confirmed his participation in the game, he did not reveal which character he will be portraying in Intergalactic. This marks another chapter in his long-standing creative partnership with Naughty Dog.
