YouTuber Named in Take-Two GTA 6 Leaker Subpoena Insists He Did Nothing Wrong

Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Games’ parent company, has issued a DMCA subpoena targeting Microsoft and Discord to identify those responsible for recent GTA 6 gameplay leaks. Filed on August 20 in New York’s Southern District Court, the investigation focuses on the “CyberLeek” account suspected of distributing leaked content.

The subpoena seeks identifying information about user accounts that interacted with the alleged leaker through Discord. Notably, Australian content creator DarkViperAU (Matthew “Matt” Judge) was mentioned in the investigation, as his Discord server appears in the subpoena’s scope. DarkViperAU has denied any wrongdoing, stating he was not involved in the leaks. His mention appears to stem from his community’s interactions with accounts connected to the alleged leaker rather than direct participation.

The GTA 6 leaks have persisted, with the alleged leaker regularly releasing new gameplay footage and claiming possession of an early game build. Take-Two’s legal action represents an escalated response to combat unauthorized distribution of its proprietary material. The situation highlights the intersection between content creator communities, leaked material, and publishers’ efforts to protect unreleased games.
