Mutter and Blue Prince among winners at Gamescom Dev Awards 2026
The 2026 Gamescom Dev Awards have recognized notable achievements in game development, spanning both innovative games and industry contributions. Mutter, a wartime horror title, claimed the Vocal Excellence award, while Blue Prince, an acclaimed puzzle game, earned the Game Design Excellence Award for outstanding game design. The turn-based deck-builder Cards & Cannons from Flamehead Games was named Most Promising Game, signaling strong potential despite the developer having not yet announced an official release date.
Beyond game recognition, the awards also honored significant contributions to industry welfare. Amir Satvat, a business development director at Tencent Games, received the Ambassador Award—selected by the Gamescom Dev speaker community in recognition of his efforts supporting workers across the industry during a period of ongoing economic instability.
