My Cat Doesn’t Care About The Metal Gear Box, Just The Box It Came In
Konami has announced an official line of Metal Gear Solid-themed cat merchandise, to be sold exclusively at CatCon 2026 in October. The merchandise release coincides with the launch of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2.
The collection includes several cat-focused items inspired by the game series. Attendees at the convention will be able to purchase cat-scratch boxes modeled after the iconic cardboard boxes associated with protagonist Big Boss and Old Snake, along with plushie pet toys and cat collars. The toys and collars draw inspiration from Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
Konami will operate a booth at CatCon 2026 for two days during the convention to sell the novelty items. The merchandise will also be available for purchase through OKS Gear, extending availability beyond the convention itself.
