Massive Morrowind mod Tamriel Rebuilt’s Poison Song expansion is out now, complete with new quests to join Great House Indoril and the Ordinators
The Tamriel Rebuilt modding project for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind has released a new expansion called Poison Song. This major community mod project focuses on gradually expanding Morrowind’s map by adding the province’s mainland regions beyond the base game’s Vvardenfell island.
The Poison Song update introduces significant new content, including the ability to join House Indoril, one of the game’s Great Houses—powerful Dunmer factions with deep roots in Morrowind’s lore. House Indoril is historically significant as the house to which the legendary Nerevarine figure Indoril Nevevar belonged. Additionally, the expansion allows players to join the Temple Ordinators, the ecclesiastical law enforcers known for their distinctive golden masks.
The update also introduces the Orethan Fields, a new explorable region described as featuring lush gardens and bountiful fields. This new area continues Tamriel Rebuilt’s ongoing effort to recreate the broader Elder Scrolls province of Morrowind beyond the original game’s scope.
The Poison Song expansion had been anticipated by the modding community since being teased toward the end of the previous year. The release represents a continuation of Tamriel Rebuilt’s long-running development cycle, which has been gradually expanding Morrowind’s playable area and adding new faction content for dedicated players of the classic 1992 RPG.
