Konami Partners With Celebrity Kitty to Release Metal Gear Cat Toys at CatCon 2026

Konami is bringing the Metal Gear franchise to an unexpected venue with a partnership at CatCon 2026, the annual cat enthusiast convention held in Pasadena, California. The collaboration features celebrity cat “one-eared Uno” and her owner Kat Curtis, who will host a meet-and-greet at the Konami booth during the October 10-11 event.

The partnership marks a creative marketing push for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, releasing August 27. The cat toy collection draws inspiration from the franchise’s most iconic imagery, including scratch boxes designed to mimic the series’ famous cardboard boxes—the stealth equipment used by characters like Big Boss and Old Snake. Beyond the scratch boxes, the collection includes plush toys and cat collars inspired by Peace Walker and Guns of the Patriots.

CatCon brings together cat lovers globally for special exhibits, workshops, adoption drives, and meet-and-greets with celebrity cats. The Konami partnership represents a unique intersection of gaming and pet culture, leveraging one-eared Uno’s internet popularity to promote both the classic game collection and themed pet products to a wider audience.
