Pokémon Go ‘PokémonXP and 2026 Worlds’ event guide
Pokémon Go is hosting a special event themed around the inaugural PokémonXP convention and the Pokémon 2026 World Championships. Running from August 25-30, the “PokémonXP & 2026 Worlds” event brings competitive focus to the mobile game, featuring competitively-used Pokémon and exclusive costumed Pikachu variants. Players can encounter two special Pikachu variants during the event period: Pikachu dressed in a Cosmog spacesuit and a World Championships 2026-themed variant. Both costumed Pikachu are primarily available through one-star raids, though additional methods to obtain them are available throughout the event. The crossover event ties Pokémon Go’s gameplay directly to the competitive Pokémon scene, coinciding with the official 2026 World Championships and the debut of the PokémonXP fan convention, which marks the franchise’s first dedicated experience of this kind.
