I Can’t Believe Train Sim World 7 Will Come to PS5 Before the Japanese Route I’ve Spent Years Writing About
Train Sim World 7 is launching for PlayStation 5 in early September, bringing Dovetail Games’ long-running train simulation franchise to Sony’s current-generation console. However, the announcement has frustrated content creators who have invested years developing a Japanese railway route for the series that will not be ready by the PS5 release date.
According to Push Square, the planned Japanese route—which the outlet has spent years developing—will miss the PS5 launch window, requiring additional development time before eventual release. This timing conflict underscores the challenges of coordinating content development with major platform expansions, as the main game debuts on new hardware while anticipated DLC remains incomplete.
