Xbox and IKEA Furniture Collaboration Includes Thumbstick Stools, Tables, and D-Pad Accessories

IKEA and Microsoft have announced an official Xbox-branded furniture collection called “YXSTABY,” a nine-piece gaming home furnishing line launching in October. The collaboration, revealed at Gamescom 2026, coincides with the 25th anniversary of the original Xbox console and reflects a market trend of gaming furniture transitioning from niche hobby spaces into mainstream living rooms.

The collection combines functional gaming pieces with playful controller-inspired accent items. Functional offerings include TV stands with castors, laptop stands, side tables for gaming accessories, a lounge chair, and a multi-functional toolbox. Distinctive pieces feature Xbox controller design motifs—most notably a stool shaped like an Xbox thumbstick and D-pad-inspired cushions, alongside decorative items such as a mirrored display box and themed platter. The range also includes controller display boxes and storage solutions for organized gaming setups.

Developed collaboratively by designers from both Xbox and IKEA, the Yxstaby collection will initially launch in the United Kingdom through IKEA’s website and physical retail locations. This partnership reflects both companies’ recognition of gaming’s mainstream cultural status and the market opportunity in specialized gaming furniture designed for contemporary home living spaces.
