First League Classic Council Vote Includes Game Length and Zz’Rot
Riot Games has launched The Council, a community voting system giving players direct influence over League of Legends Classic’s development. The first voting session features eight poll questions covering game length preferences, which classic items should return, and cosmetic choices like river animals.
To participate, players must reach Classic level 5 or higher. Voting power scales with player progression—higher-level players receive additional voting points, incentivizing engagement while giving experienced players proportionally greater influence. Votes are cast through the League of Legends client via The Council tab, with the voting window limited to one week.
Riot has announced that five new Demacia champions will be added to League Classic in the next patch, demonstrating commitment to evolving the mode alongside community input. The Council represents an experimental approach to live-service player governance, potentially establishing a template for future community-driven decision-making in League of Legends.
