LEGO Super Mario Minifigure Sets Unveiled, Including Bowser’s Castle and Mario Kart
LEGO has officially unveiled its highly anticipated Super Mario minifigure sets, marking a significant expansion of the partnership between LEGO Group and Nintendo. The announcement, made at Gamescom 2026, introduces eight new sets featuring minifigure-scaled Mario characters for the first time, a departure from previous LEGO Super Mario sets designed for larger-scale play with interactive toy units.
The minifigure lineup includes classic characters such as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, Yoshi, Koopa Troopa, and Bowser Jr., along with Bowser rendered as a larger “big fig.” The sets showcase iconic gameplay elements and locations from the franchise, including a Bowser’s Castle playset and three Mario Kart-themed sets. One set, Mario’s Pipe Jump, features a mechanical lever that catapults a Goomba enemy out of the way, allowing Mario to collect coins—a nod to series gameplay mechanics.
The minifigure sets have been designed with affordability in mind and are described as small but wallet-friendly. Product pages are now live on the LEGO website with brick counts and pricing information. The full range launches January 1, 2027, following a teaser during MAR10 Day earlier in 2026. This release marks a major milestone for Mario fans anticipating minifigure-scaled sets compatible with standard LEGO minifigures.
