PlayStation Plus Free Games For September 2026 Revealed
PlayStation has announced the free games arriving on PlayStation Plus Essential in September 2026. Starting September 1, subscribers will be able to claim four titles: Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Chained Echoes, and Wobbly Life, available on both PS5 and PS4.
Sniper Elite: Resistance serves as the lineup’s flagship title, continuing the series’ World War II setting with a campaign set behind enemy lines in occupied France. The game is known for its detailed, slow-motion kill sequences that showcase the game’s visceral takedown mechanics.
Chained Echoes highlights the month’s RPG offering—a 16-bit turn-based JRPG released in 2022 by developer Umami Tiger. The game blends classical fantasy elements with mecha combat, featuring giant mechs alongside fantastical creatures. Its narrative follows a group of heroes across the continent of Valandis as they work to end a war between three rival kingdoms.
MLB The Show 26 provides the sports offering, while Wobbly Life rounds out the selection. Three of the four games were leaked earlier in the week before the official announcement. Subscribers should note that if they haven’t yet claimed August’s PlayStation Plus games, they have until next Tuesday to do so before the September lineup becomes available.
